In the first half of 2026, Wuhan Yinglian Backend Factory Division closely followed the strategic deployment of "cost reduction, efficiency improvement and digital-intelligent transformation". Taking automation projects as a breakthrough tool, it advanced a total of 35 automation projects, among which 14 have been completed and put into production. The manpower allocation has been optimized, driving the dual growth of production capacity and product quality.
From "Single-point Breakthrough" to "Chain Upgrade"
Automation construction is not simply "replacing human workers with machines". Instead, it focuses on three major directions: whole-line flexibility, logistics integration and embedded quality control, and has developed a number of replicable and promotable benchmark cases.
Breakthrough in flexible manufacturing. The HD housing line in Workshop 3 adopts dual-robot collaboration and integrated quick-change tooling to realize mixed production of multiple product types. The model change time is reduced to less than 30 minutes, which greatly improves production line flexibility and lifts production capacity by 4.5%.
Leap in intelligent logistics. AGV three-unit linkage equipment from Hikvision is introduced together with self-developed WMS system, forming a closed-loop terminal distribution covering "warehouse - machining - final assembly". The traditional manual forklift mode is completely phased out. Material circulation is traceable and on-site management is visualized, laying a foundation for the construction of digital workshops.
Integrated inspection and deburring. The E40 valve sleeve notch grinding project innovatively creates a composite workstation integrating positioning, air gauge inspection and automatic deburring. Quality control nodes are moved forward, the risk of non-conforming products outflow is greatly reduced, and repetitive manual labor is freed up.
Turning "Difficulties" into "Highlights"
Every achievement went through multiple rounds of scheme reconstruction and dozens of on-site commissioning sessions. The high-frequency bolt adjustment automation project originally relied on manual loading and unloading, featuring high operating temperature and frequent model changes. The team independently designed pneumatic rotary chucks and push-plate feeding mechanisms. Servo-driven ball screws deliver high-precision positioning. The model change time for 5 product types is shortened to 5 minutes, and programs can be switched via touch screen, greatly improving process stability and significantly lowering the intensity of high-temperature operations.
The online commissioning of the HD housing line was a tough task. To achieve seamless connection between deep hole drilling blanking and subsequent grinding feeding, the team stayed on site for two consecutive weeks, repeatedly calibrating robot postures, cylinder clamping forces and positioning deviations. Self-made model change positioning blocks were adopted and robot trajectories optimized. Finally, cross-process automatic online connection was realized, completely eliminating bump damage and waiting waste caused by intermediate caching.
Deepen intelligent transformation and explore AI application
In the second half of the year, the automation team will fully ensure the scheduled delivery of ongoing automation projects for screws, nuts, arm shafts, housings and other products in Workshop 6. Meanwhile, AI process optimization pilots will be launched. Machine learning algorithms will be introduced to self-learn and adjust process parameters for 1 to 2 typical working procedures, promoting the upgrade from automation to intelligence and providing a Wuhan Yinglian Backend Factory Division model for digital-intelligent factory construction.
Independent technology serves as the foundation, and digital-intelligent transformation is the direction. Wuhan Yinglian Backend Factory Division will continue to achieve breakthroughs via technology and revitalize production through smart manufacturing, turning every innovation into tangible competitiveness.
